
Storage Advice
Fridges, Freezers, and Cookers should be cleaned and thoroughly dry with their doors slightly ajar. Any loose parts such as electric cables and cooker hobs should taped down.
Paintings and Mirrors are best stored by sticking a cross of masking tape over the glass, protecting the corners with corrugated cardboard or foam and wraping them individually. Pad the bottom of thir boxes with crumpled inkl;ess paper and make sure to put plenty of packing around each item (mark fragile).
Books should be packed on their sides and kept off the floor.
Electronic equipment should be packed in their original containers or failing that, wrapped in bubble wrap and put into boxes.
Delicate or breakable items should be wrapped individually with inkless paper or bubble wrap and if possible put into compartment boxes (mark fragile).
If you are moving house use one or two boxes to store the things your are likely to need first when you move in. Label them clearly.
Sofas, Chairs and Mattresses need to have dust covers on them.
Label each box with the name of the room it came from to make things easier when unpacking
